Adjust Your Terminal’s Clock

To change the time on your credit card terminal, you will need to manually update the terminal’s time clock. We have created step-by-step instructions to assist in adjusting the time on our most popular terminals. To view instructions specific to your terminal type, select your terminal below.

NOTE: Exatouch®, Clover®, and Valor PayTech terminals will automatically update. No manual changes need to be made.

step To locate the Date/Time setup on this terminal, tap the Settings Menu symbol in the top right-hand corner of the screen.
step After selecting Settings, a list of system options will display on the screen. Tap on Date/Time.
step In the text box enter the date as: MMDDYYYY (e.g., 03122017) and press the green Enter key.
step Once the date is entered, a second text box will appear. Enter the time as: HH:MM:SS (e.g., 145000) and press the green Enter key to save and complete.
step The main screen of this terminal will read “Credit, Sale and Enter Amount”. While on this screen, press the green OK key.
step The Core Menu will appear. Use the down arrow button to highlight the Utility option. Once highlighted, press OK.
step The next screen will prompt for the Manager Password. All Dejavoo terminals have a manager password of 1234. Enter the password and press OK.
step In the Utility Menu, highlight the Settings option. Once highlighted, press OK.
step In Settings, highlight the Date and Time option. Once highlighted, press OK.
step In the Current Date window you will be prompted to enter the date as: MM/DD/YYYY (e.g., 03/12/2017). Once the date is entered, press OK.
step In the Local Time window, you will be prompted to enter the time as: HH:MM:SS (e.g., 14:50:00). Once the time is entered, press OK to save and complete the update.
step The main screen of this terminal will read “Credit, Sale and Enter Amount”. While on this screen, press the F1 key.
step The Core Menu will appear. Use the down arrow button to highlight the Utility option. Once highlighted, press OK.
step The next screen will prompt for the Manager Password. All Dejavoo terminals have a manager password of 1234. Enter the password and press OK.
step In Settings, highlight the Date and Time option. Once highlighted, press OK.
step In the Current Date window you will be prompted to enter the date as: MM/DD/YY (e.g., 03/14/21). Once the date is entered, press OK.
step In the Local Time window, you will be prompted to enter the time as: HH:MM:SS (e.g., 14:50:00). Once the time is entered, press OK to save and complete the update.
step From the “Input Amount – Credit/Sale” screen, press the blue Menu button to access the Main Menu.
step On the Main Menu screen, use the down arrow to highlight System Settings. Once highlighted, press the green Enter button.
step This brings you to the System Options screen. Use the down arrow to highlight Date/Time Setup. Once highlighted, press Enter.
step The screen will list the current date and time set in the terminal.
step The line below the current date displays MM/DD/YYYY. This is where you enter the new date (e.g., 03/12/2017).
step The line below the current time displays HH:MM:SS. This is where you enter the new time (e.g., 14:50:00). After entering the date and time, press Enter to save and complete the updates.
step The main screen of the terminal will list “Sale, Refund, Void” options. While on this screen, select the green Enter key to access the Configuration screen.
step From the Configuration screen, press the F2 key on the side of the screen to select Setup.
step The terminal will prompt for a password. Enter 1, ALPHA, ALPHA, 6, 6, 8, 3, 1, then press Enter.
step After the password is entered correctly, the Setup menu will appear. To change the date and time, press the purple Down key four (4) times or until you see the Date/Time option.
step To select Date/Time, press the F4 key.
step When selected, the terminal will first prompt for the date. Enter the date as: MMDDYYYY (e.g., 03122017), then press Enter.
step The terminal will prompt for the time. Enter the time as: HHMMSS (e.g, 145000), then press Enter to save and complete the update.
