Calverton, New York — October 25, 2022 — Electronic Payments, an industry-leading merchant services provider offering a variety of payment processing and POS solutions, unveiled the latest update to its ProCharge® product line. ProCharge Mobile now features a Bluetooth card reader that enables merchants to accept EMV, contactless, and swiped transactions outside of a traditional storefront. The addition of this all-inclusive solution allows small- to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) to further use their mobile devices as full-featured, handheld point of sale systems.
Existing users of the original ProCharge Mobile device will be familiar with the simple, compact design of the original card reader. Similar in design but worlds away in function, the new EMV-readers feature an internal, rechargeable battery and support for USB, audio jack, and Bluetooth connectivity. As secure as it is functional, the new card readers maintain Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) compliance, ensuring the utmost security for businesses and cardholders. Apple and Android users may download the free ProCharge Mobile application in the AppStore℠ or on Google Play™, respectively.
Originally launched in 2013, the product’s continuous development provides merchants with more opportunities and flexibility in how they run their businesses. The mobile application’s inherent features, such as support for dual pricing, sales tax, and tip in transaction, bring the latest in-demand solutions to one user-friendly solution. Best of all, it can be used in conjunction with the payment platform’s other applications, such as the virtual terminal and accounting software plugin.
“In the current environment, merchants all over the country are seeking creative ways to stay in business and accommodate their customers, especially when it comes to secure payment processing,” said Michael Nardy, Electronic Payments Founder and CEO. “Because our mobile application has worked well for thousands of merchants, we’ve continued to invest in upgrading our ProCharge solution making it even more affordable, secure, and reliable. It’s perfect for small businesses that need to handle transactions curbside, on the patio, at the window, or even on the go.”
In addition to the many features native to the comprehensive ProCharge platform, including recurring billing, e-invoicing, and real-time activity and account updates, merchants benefit from:
Moreover, with support for multiple devices per merchant account, businesses can seamlessly reconcile sales and reporting across their organizations via ProCharge Gateway.
