Jr. Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst

Job Description:
Electronic Payments is an industry leader in developing and delivering innovative payment processing and point of sale (POS) solutions for retail and restaurant merchants nationwide. We are currently seeking a Junior Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst to support our operations in Boca Raton, Florida. This position will be part of the team responsible for conducting manual testing of our various payment and POS products.

We are seeking a hands-on software Jr. QA Analyst with experience in testing software products and creating test documentation. The Jr. QA Analyst’s main role is to continuously improve the quality of the application while adhering to defined timelines. Excellent organizational skills, planning, attention to detail, and time management are a must. The ideal candidate is passionate and has a desire to learn and embrace new, cutting-edge software and technology. You must also have a positive outlook, outgoing personality, and be willing to suggest testing process improvements.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze test requirements from specifications to develop comprehensive test plans and design corresponding test cases.
  • Communicate effectively with the engineering team, documenting and discussing defects, tracking their resolution, and validating that issues are resolved.
  • Design and execute manual test cases and provide precise reports on test results.
  • Ensure deliverables are validated against functional and design specifications.
  • Perform backend database testing in a Microsoft SQL environment, including creating and executing stored procedures, jobs, and triggers. (Training will be provided as needed.)

Requirements:

  • Basic understanding of quality assurance and testing methodologies, including planning, scripting, testing, and regression testing.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience in software or development team environments.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with cross-platform testing is advantageous.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and conceptual skills.
  • Ability to provide technical recommendations, suggest solutions, and participate in their implementation.
  • Proficiency in managing multiple projects at various stages, including scoping, requirements gathering, design, and development.
  • Collaborative and enjoys working closely with development teams.
  • Ability to work independently and deliver results with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and self-motivation.
  • Experience in the point of sale or payments industry is a plus.

Must be available to work in the Boca Raton, Florida office. Position is currently an In Office position only.
